Job Description:


To perform in a pleasant, professional, and ongoing manner a combination of tasks and routines which help to put forward the best possible visible image for Lad Lake which provide for cleanliness and sanitation throughout the school. Duties generally include cleaning and organizing tasks. Employee will provide excellent customer service to all assigned clients.


  • Ensures classrooms, offices, gym, basement, common areas and offices are free of garbage, dust and dirt.
  • Maintain sanitation of agency bathroom facilities on a set schedule.
  • Wipes down areas of high risk of germs daily- doorknobs, switches, etc.
  • Portray a positive image and engage in professional and friendly communications with all clients, staff, and guests.
  • Cleans floors and windows on a set schedule.
  • Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash and waste in designated areas
  • Must operate personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software for timekeeping.
  • Submits work orders as items are identified as broken or require repair.
  • Assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and escalates any customer concerns to management
  • Provides excellent customer service to all clients, staff, and guests.

Experience and Skills:


  • Ability to read and converse proficiently in English
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and be at least 21 years old and at least 2 years older than the oldest resident / student.
  • One or more years professional janitorial / housekeeping experience or related experience required
  • One or more years general customer service experience preferred (Support service department experience, i.e., maintenance, Janitorial or Housekeeping).
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to lift  / move 25 pounds to maintain organized inventory
  • Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Prior maintenance experience and experience working with and understanding an at-risk youth population strongly preferred.
